About N.S.S.

NSS is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. The motto of NSS is to evoke and instill in every individual the feeling of ‘Not me, But You’ and involve college youth in social service.

Our college has strength of three units. Each unit has 100 students. Thus 300 NSS Volunteers work for the community under three Programme officers

NSS Programmes are scheduled according to the university guidelines and collaborative clubs. For the better working and to achieve goals the NSS activities are being divided in two major areas

NSS Special Camp

To sensitize students for community services, college collaborates with different NGO’s and Organizations like Innerwheel Club of Bombay Airport, Rotray Club of Bombay Airport and, United Way of Mumbai.

The focus of the Unit is on overall development of the students and also gives them wide exposure to outer reality. Academically a student who works for 120 hours in NSS and attends two camps gets 10 marks in their Third year final exam. Prizes are given to Best Volunteers under different categories
